The City of Scenic Beauty

Sorry, your browser doesn't support Java.

Originally named in 1900, in the language of the Iroquois tribe, Niagara means "thundering waters". Scenic parks featuring bluff views and waterfowl abound.

Take time to hike, bike or cross country ski along the Riverside Trail system. Spend some time in the series of trails following along the banks of the Menominee River and thru the wooded beauty of the seasons.

Riverside Boat Landing offers public access and includes a handicap fishing ramp, fire pit and pavilion. Riverside Methodist Church also provides river access for canoe enthusiasts at the lower parking area. For a wilder ride, try one of the three hour river rafting trips that includes a  shuttle from town. Be sure not to miss Twelve Foot and Smalley Falls, and the breathtaking Piers Gorge.
